Early Evo X owners...
I have a good friend that has a 335xi...I would never pay what he did for his car...on top of all that I shard on him everytime we r at a light...I have never had one single regret after buying mine. Go w an X it wont let you down (PS my friend is currently looking for an Evo X)
it boils down toyour personal choice and what you want now and in the future, if you want to live by the moment get the evo x you wont be disappointed, if you want it safe get the 335, and if you buy an evo you are notbuying it for the nice interior you are buying performance, technology, cost effectiveness of parts(availabilityand cost compared to bmw) and for the experience to drive a close to a supercar experience without the big bucks for a not so bad price if you find the right deal
Your statement about the want and need to get up in the morning and drive hits the nail on the head. The 335 is not going to cut it.
You're just like a lot of us, we wish there was some way to have the fit and finish of a high-end luxury car... AND also have what the evo is good at.
You'll secretly regret buying the BWM, but you'll never sit in your Evo and think 'I should have got the other car'.
I think you just want to hear it from someone else... so here it is. GET THE EVO.

I bought my X in March 08. Daily drove her for the first 7 months. 30K miles 2 sets of tires worn to the chords. Usual bolt ons. Still on the stock clutch and brakes. No problems what so ever and I've driven the **** out of her including at least 1K miles on tracks.

IMO, the X is way more rare and unique. I rarely see another one. See many BMW's regularly. The BMW is a cash flash car, I prefer the more subtle "in the know" car. I am older, but when I tell people what I drive, they ain't never heard of it, and if they did, they have no idea of the performance.
Only true enthusiasts know the X, the BMW is for wannabe "impress the girls" car. Solid car for sure, but no X. By the way, my cousin bought the BMW, he is 51, and still a yuppie from the old days. My X looks better, but he thinks the BMW makes him look better. I ain't out to impress anyone anymore, except myself. If MITSU gives you an inferiority complex, get the BMW, if you want the better drivers car, get the X.

).It's a great car if you're looking to chat up some young guys, though, 'cause they're pretty much the only ones who have any idea what the thing is. You'd think more girls would get one for that reason alone.
Isn't that a little backwards.
Around here a lot of people know about the Evo X, and there are a lot of them running around. I see Evo's and STI's on a daily basis.
