Question Question regarding intake kits

I'm thinking getting a intake kits for my car but I don't really know which one should I get. I was interested in HKS's racing suction reloaded kits but it's a bit over my budget. some friends of mine recommended AMS but I don't know how good they are. I'm thinking maybe AMS's performance intake for EVO X?

Can someone give me any suggestion? How about AMS's cold air intake? is it better compare with AMS's performance intake? comments are appreciated.

AMS is good, but if you want the HKS there are plenty of vendors that can offer you a great price. PM if you would like and I'll give you some names

How much whp are you pushing, reason being that intakes generally don't help the car too much unless you have gobs of hp. Just get a drop in filter and save money for a tune + tb exhaust.

Not so sure, but I heard people say it's better just change the whole thing. I will get a tune after I install the intake but I need to do some research on that cus my friend blew his engine after a tune not a long time ago.

ams short ram vs the ams cai, short ram brings in hot air from the engine compartment and the cai brings in more fresh air but if u hit a puddel u may stall because it mounts next to the driver fog light.
I can't see how the aem intake can make more power than a drop in seeing as it look fairly simlar to the stock air box.

I wouldn't tune with just an intake mods lean out the engine and then you risk blowing the engine.

If you are looking at ams send them a pm or call the shop and ask them, they are super helpful.

I'm running parts from ams, speed circuit, & will be ordering some stuff from ets

Don't waste ur money on a drop in cause you're only gonna want to upgrade to a full cai eventually. I ran a 13.2 with just a cai and tbe which is quite an improvement over stock.
