Anyone coming from a prelude SH?
I don't hear any rattles or dash squeaks in my X? But then again, my radio is usually above volume 25-30 all the time.
But with solid urethane engine mounts on the Prelude, the dash vibrated slightly at idle and shook when shifted hard. Sometimes, the wipers would come on too if you hit that sweet spot when shifting.

Came from a fully built 2000 Si Civic. Thing screamed, but my X makes me wanna do bad things and handles like a dream on the Autobahn. Maybe it's just the great roads in germany, but I'm not noticing too much rattle in the X. My civic however was gutted interior and way too freaking loud and rattled at highway speeds. Maybe that has tainted my opinion in a good way towards the X.
i loved a lot about my lude. First was the interior. At first i thought it looked outdated but it grew on me (hoping the X will be the same). Turning was amazing with the ATTS on the SH. Going up the on-ramp and listening to the vtec kick in (hoping the turbo on the X will be the same). And just cruising past a window and how it caught your eye. The prelude was a unique looking car (at least the 5th gen) and it really stood out and looked good. I think the X has some of the same wow factor as the lude catching the eye.
Thanks for all the input though guys some of it was comforting

I am not meaning to sound negative toward the Lude, but the SH's ATTS is a wannabe gadget compared to the Evo X's SAYC system. The handling of the X is in a whole other league, AWD and active yaw control allow the car to have real oversteer, not just a reduction in push like the ATTS in the BB6 Ludes. While there is no VTEC sound, the acceleration difference is stark, and the Evo is much faster in every instrumented test of acceleration, handling, braking.
The best way to sum it up is that the Prelude is training wheels, but the Evo is much closer to a serious performance car. Its a natural growth stage from Prelude, and a stepping stone for a driving enthusiast before he goes on to something more serious like a GTR, Porsche, or Z06.
I hope this helps.
i used to have an 89 prelude si 2.0 with four wheel steering. it was the first (and only) production car to have mechanical 4 wheel steering. you could do a complete circle on a 2 lane road without doing a 3 point turn
