Would you say you were loyal to the Evo?

I guess I could have asked are you loayl to Mitsubishi, but so many of us mod our cars and hardly really wind up using the dealer for anything other than getting our cars from.

I myself had an Evo IX, which only had 2200 or so miles on it when I sold it. I was impressed and happy with the better ride quality and handling when I got the X, but I have been VERY unimpressed with the paint, some of the people on here having the warranty issues they have, have also made me think twice about buying another Evo when they come out, or keeping mine longer than I might have. The cheap interior is also another pretty big let down along with the seats, battery failures, and a lot of other issues I have read. I however cannot say I have experienced only a few of these issues though.

On the upside, i'm not by any means rough on my car, BUT as I have read yet again on here, the car has a good engine and drivetrain, which has been raved about and given 5 stars by all of the car mags and such that i've read. The S-AWC is just incredible as are the brakes, and the much needed added airbags and overall safety of the cars, which ultimately is what we pay for when we buy these cars.

So with all of that being said, would you say you were a loyal Evo owner, meaning that you will keep your current Evo as long as it has the ability to move itself... or even not lol... if you like having the most recent, will you always look at the new models and seriously consider with each new model buying it? OR, would it not take much to get you away from the Evo? Let's discuss!

I will keep it for as long as I can. However, this will be my last new Mitsubishi as far as I concerned.

This is my first Mitsubishi anything...interior and paint is lacking but i love everything else. Service for the car is a little high for a non luxury car. I need the AWD, so i will be keeping this car forever. It will turn into my beater in a year or so and i will buy something more on the luxury side for my family later on.

To a point, yes. All cars have their problems and there is no such thing as the perfect car unfortunately (at least that most of us can afford). When I sold my IX there were only two cars I considered: X or S2000.

if you would ask me, I am a mitsubishi fan to begin with that is why I knew about the evo IV-TME even before it became known here in the US. With that said, when the evo came, that was the end to all cars that I would own. when I got the IS300, it was just so nice I barely drive it. it was a garage queen and was very dangerous in the wet. come the evo 9 MR which I bought out of state and drove it home new changed everything. if the lexus was a garage queen, the evo was a "driver's car." I had other choices, the M3, MB, etc. I wouldn't drive anything but it made the drive to work enjoyable until it met its tragic end and save me(just like tephra). now, there is not other choice but to slow down hence the escalade hybrid. a year has passed and now I am pining for the same evo(GGP) IX MR(new) to be exact but at this point($50K) if I get the money will buy it again. the same recaro was the reason my body did not bounce inside the vehicle while it rolled twice and hit a tree. the same aluminum body was what kept it strong yet light that it did not crush your body and pinned you. it looks plain jane and dated-that is how I like it true evo fan. for the X, keep it!

I used to be loyal to cars, but when they get old and start to fall apart it's just too frustrating and disheartening to get too attached to them.

I honestly have no loyalty at all. If I dont feel the next Evo is the best for the money I will move on.

I love my Evo X, but there are some definite flaws that should come with a 32k car.

No. Buy the car that fits you best. If it comes time to get a new one and the Evo's some diesel hybrid that's impossible to mod, maybe I'll go with an STI... or something completely different.

I wouldn't buy another Evo just because it says Evolution on the trunk.

I wouldn't trade it for a STi but there are a few cars I would trade my Evo for.

this is my first mitsubishi, coming from an acura rsx type-s... to be honest, my evo x woudnt have been my first choice if i didnt live in the east coast, it wouldve been a much more difficult decision between the evox and an s2k if say i lived in the west coast or fl or tx. but seeing as though i do live in maryland and winters can get pretty nasty, i decided to go with an evo, which has 2 extra doors, and a second row of seats that i currently dont need at this point and time in my life. but regardless, i really do love the evo and the power and awesome handling right of the bat and i know its gonna keep me moving even when theres snow on the ground... so long story short lol, i got the car cause it fit what i neeeded at this time, however who knows where ill be in 5 years, the evo may or may no longer be need.

I have been saying similar things to my buddies for a while. The X in my possession will be the last Mitsubishi I buy from a dealer for many reasons. Some from dealership experience including their Service/Parts dept, and other reasons from the car itself.

I had the IX and now the X..... there will be no future one unless I buy cheap/used from a private party.

I'm off and on. I've been a DSM and Evo enthusiast for quite a while. I have been forced away from them a time or two and opted out a time or two. Somehow, I keep going back to them.
