area behind the rear license plates.

is anyone having issues with the area on the bumper right behind the rear license plate?

like melting or such.

i'll try to post pictures of what it looks like later.

If it didnt happen naturally is there any reason someone would cut a hold behind the license plate?

i think its actually the diffuser b/c i figured out the rear bumper is two parts.

a hole? well, the exhuast is behind there, but it would be running super hot to melt it from that far away.

i will post pictures later but can u think of anything that could cause it to run super hot?

At first it looked like someone cut a hole in it but if u look closely some parts really do look melted and not touched at all.

Did you buy the car used?

Someone probably removed the stock muffler and ran it open for awhile. The pipe exits directly behind there, so unless they put a turndown at the end, it'll blow hot exhaust right into the bumper and possibly melting it.

Never thought of that. That could be the problem.

pic would help... if you have aftermarket exhaust, more likely it will melt that exhaust cutout area unless it's a perfect fitment.
