thanks again guys, already looking into going the AMS route, they seem to make quality parts and have a lot of you standing behind them.

I'm already looking for places close by to handle tuning and labor, since I dont actually have a nice, flat and clean place to do the work myself.

Just a few quickies I snapped yesterday. lol, In 5 years I dont think I took one picture of my Nissan, this one is gonna be different, I can tell. I love the design of these cars, just gorgeous and it gets so many stares and people doing the double-take, its crazy.

yeah be ready for lots of double takes, but watch out some will look so hard they swerve into your lane lol.

that silver color does look good, and will be easy to appear clean when it is actually dirty, unlike my WW...

My first choice was OBP, coming from the Honda world, we always had SuperSonicBluePearl to drool over and that Octane Blue is no different, but the closest one I could find was 500 miles and it was about 4 grand more then i paid for this one with 10k less miles. Did have the factory navi though

I considered WW, I love white cars, but I dont have easy access to a car wash, so I figured the Silver was the way to go, doesn't show dirt too terribly bad.

Congrats to you too then. I've already taken in so much info in 48 hours on this site, its rediculous. I have found how-to's on all my first mod plans, Im prepared.

Now just to figure out which mod will come first, payday is friday, and whatever is left after bills, groceries and , will be contributed in the B.A. Evo fund.

Thanks

So payday is coming up, and Ive put in a lot of overtime and i also get my expense check at the same time, so I know I said I was going to wait but....

First mod opinions:

1.) I have the factory aero kit (so ive learned on this site) and the front lip has some scrapes and scuffs on the lower edge, of course it doesn't show on that pretty silver color, but I can tell its there. To go CF lip or not? If I do, I've been eying the Ravspec from one of the vendors on this site, it seems to look damn close to the aero lip and fitment seems to be perfect.

2.) The top of my SSS wing has scrapes/rock chips on it, obviously because it sits halfway to the clouds, but once again, not noticeable but I know its there and it bugs me. I saw something also by Ravspec that looked like some kind of CF overlay that sat perfectly over the area Im talking about on the rear-top part of the wing. It didnt seem to be gawdy and obtrusive sticking up another 4 feet in the air, but does anybody have any experience with this product?

3.) ETS or AMS CAI. Totally lost here, which?

4.) UICP/LICP, preferences/experiences?

I too am having this dilemma. Hopefully the people here will be able to point us in the right direction. My initial thought process had me comparing AMS and K&N, but I'm thiking that the ETS CAI might not be bad to consider either. Ahh...so many choices!!!

HAHA!!! I'm pretty sure you and I both came out saying we were new to the Mitsu/Evo world. Per previous auto forum experience the shunning and name-calling only comes into play when ppl enter a new forum with a know-it-all/holier than thou type attitude. It's best to enter these things with an open mind and have the ability to take all information given to you with a grain of salt when necessary.

There are tons of dyno/build threads in evoM. Check them out. They all mostly list the parts in which they installed into their Evo X. Maybe that'll help you out a bit more. We can all say get this and get that, but at the end of the day you're the one spending your $$$ and have to wake up to living/loving what you purchased. Both AMS and ETS produce great quality parts, but then again it's up to you to decide in which direction you will point the barrel. Good luck and may you enjoy your ride.

P.s
Fair warning... "moding" may become addictive...!
