Glare from rear window tint

I got window tint on my car a few days ago with 35% all around (legal limit in MA). When I drove at night, I notice a very annoying glare from the back. The headlight from cars behind me would disperse along the defroster line. When I talked to the installer, they told me to call back in two weeks to wait when all the air bubbles and glue would be dried.

I wonder if anyone is experieincing the same issue? My buddy has a S4 tinited at the same place and did not have the problem. I used to own an eclipse with tint and did not notice such problem. The installed I used is a reputable one and is using Suntek Carbon film.

You will get some glare it's not something to worry about. You have to keep in mind that window film is made with materials to reflect the light. That's why you see that glare, that is a sign that it's doing what it's suppose to do, reflect light.

My glare is actually much worse than the picture because I am using a lighter tint. The picture is from my friend who has a 25% tint using the same film and same installer. I have 45% tint and light reflects across the full defroster line from edge to edge. I can even see that during day time when there are cars with DRL. The film installed on my car is Suntek Carbon which is a thicker film so that may be the cause of the reflection. I used to own an Eclipse with older cheap film and don't have such reflection problem.

it should go away after a week of installation which is when it fully dries. i got 35% on mine as well and no glare. just grab some invisible glass and clean it after it dries and you should be good or take it back to the plae that did it, probably low quality film

Here is a better picture with all the glare. It has been one week since the installation. The glare is still very bad and I can barely see during high traffic period. I am taking the car back to installer tomorrow to see what they say.
