How should i store my evo x for its first winter in canada?
Mine will be in my underground indoor garage with heat, this winter.
I might bring it out once(conditions/weather permitting) when I get home to sweat the fever off, from not driving it for so long.

Just a couple of weeks ago I had a good look at an Evo that was driven in salt for the last 5 winters. You guys should see what the engine bay looked like as well as the undercarriage. The car was torn down and all the damage was right there. Hell, there are a few 03-04 Evos in our area (driven in salt) that show bubbling under the paint above/next to the rear wheel well. Sure, modern cars won't show rust for 15 years in a perfect world, but that's not where some of us live.

Body/chassis/engine bay ect still perfect.
I use to rust check it every fall, wax it twice a year, and wash it every week(in the winter auto wash with under spray).....it worked.
This is my '62 Land Rover....

The steel parts of the body chassis lasted because of all the oil leaks...LOL.Now it gets regular anti-rust coatings, but still gets used.

I have a 6 year old minivan in my driveway right now with paint bubbling under the edge of its hood. Salted roads are a horrible thing. Seems like the salting isn't as bad in your area.
All this being said, why is it when someone asks about storing the car over a winter, a number of folks jump out to tell everyone how badass they are? Does that help the OP? No. Does that allow for any kind of sensitivity to alternate environments? No. Does it show an iota of awareness as to other folks' long term goals? No. The only thing it does is say, "Look at me." Mission accomplished, I guess.
FWIW, below is a local Evo that was driven though the salt. This is what it looked like before the bulk of the damage was exposed:

I'm definitely with the "don't drive your car on salted roads" crew. We have my wife's FWD CR-V with 75k for that.
We don't get a lot of snow, but I run summer tires only, and I park this sucker in my garage. I want this junk to last.

We believe you, but nobody really knows how this dude took care of his car. My personal opinion is that most of us can afford an Evo but not another car for winter...this being said we do what we can to keep the salt away and enjoy the car in winter season, which is proven to be quite fun!
I am certainly not arguing here, but I think both sides have valid points
Rust scares me sh1tless but I guess rustproofing and washing the car every week or so seems to do just fine

I can't imagine having an AWD car like the Evo and storing it away for the winter, especially since most of you talk like this:
"I bought the Evo to have fun with it. It's an awesome platform with so much potential etc yada yada"
Well guess what, more than half of the potential is in the snow and gravel and 90%+ of the people rather wax the car than take it to the gravel. It's completely fine...
But really - do you honestly believe that your car will rust if you give it a nice clean every week or two on the underside of the car even with salt? My IX was driven through winters since 2006 and it didn't have a single point of rust anywhere. And even if it did - I'd rather repaint the whole car than not drive it in the snow. It's the single most awesome thing evos do.

Since this turned into a store car vs drive car in the winter haha here is my opinion.
I bought my Evo planning to drive it through winter, since It has seen 6 winters already. But I changed my mind. I have bubbles and rust on the driver side qtr panel and a bubble under the wing on trunk. I'm fixing those before I store it. Car was undercoated well by prev owners. I look at my '05 and at my friends '03 that never seen a winter and his is mint compared to mine.
In wny they dump so much salt on the roads I have to wash the car every day it's pathetic. If I were in PA diff story I'd drive it. I plan on keeping my car for a while, and rather look at a decent underbody when I work on my car. Rusted bolts give me a headache lol. Besides the cold weather puts so much stress on a car imo.
If your the type to change cars every few years screw it drive the car around the United States and Canada!

Well said. The OP asked for tips on how to store it. He didn't if he should store it.
