How should i store my evo x for its first winter in canada?
drift it every now and then. Dude your in Canada, you bought one of the best if not the best vehicle for our climate. enjoy it and drift it up!
Id use some sort of fuel stabilizerr and fill my tank with 94 octane before storing. Get some type of mats for underneath your tires so they dont sit on concrete all winter n crack. Or remove and put on hoist or jack stands.

I store my Evo every winter - fill the tank and turn on a Battery Tender. I start the car every few weeks and drive it around the block on a rare day with salt-free roads. That's it.
I just don't get it. Why but such a capable vehicle and store it for the winter???!!! That is part of the reason I bought it. Granted people have there reasons...I just haven't heard one yet that makes sense...isn't that the point of buying a car like this...to enjoy it and have fun?

They use so much salt, and temps are up and down from freezing. No amount of oil guarding prevents them from rusting. My other car was Krowned every year.. and it has rust.
Add Fuel Stabilizer to it. Also, if you can't move the car forward/ahead a few feet, then jack it up. If you let it sit for months in the same spot, you'll get flat spots on your tires.
The other good thing about starting it is that it'll be less likely to have boost leaks in the spring. Starting it keeps everything lubricated and seals tight.

you dont need to do anything, been storing cars over winters for awhile and all i do is start the car every 2-3 weeks and thats it. If you want to invest on something get a battery tender so the battery doesnt die, other than that let it hybernate. Just dont leave your gas tank full
you CANNOT prevent rust, spray the most expensive rust prevention agent, and its not gona work. Its been proven soo many times, that its a waste of money. the "best" way to prevent it is to wash the car after a snow driving with salty roads, dont just spray it because salt is tricky it doesnt go away easy, make sure you wash the car with a brush or sponge( i am sure the sponge is not an option on cold weather) and car wash soap....but the brite side of modern cars is that they dont rust easy, so besides some surface rust from winter driving if i was you i wouldn't worry much, because it will take 15-20 years for a modern car to start showing rust signs
