I own a buschur crossflow... It's loud in the car. My friend has a t1r on his car and it's not near as loud... I would easily trade with him and give him few bucks just to get rid of mine. My vette with longtubes and catback isn't nearly as punishing inside when comparing to the eveslow.

DOUBLE WOW, if think the CROSSFLOW is loud in car, you may want to stick with stock. I can barely hear mine.

My local store recommends ETS V2 Quiet to me... It's nice tho, but the pipe was fused/connected from several sections instead of a bent whole piece which Buschur did... Which one is better for performance and/or long lasting??? That's mine most concern now... ETS or Buschur, hummm, interesting LOL

T1R is definitely the quietest on that list. i'll never buy buschur "quiet" exhausts again - their last attempt at it was louder than front row seat at a metallica concert. with their crossflow, it was comparable to the magnaflow in quietness, but inside the cabin it was quite loud.

no one said anything about the blitz nur spec c-ti? it's supposed to be only 1db louder than stock.

dude my cobb tbe got here today. I installed it. It is mega quit (stock volume +a small rumble) until you get on it then it sounds mean as hell. At 55-65 on the highway you don't even notice it.

as far as performance.....wow after installed and flashed to stage two, it is like a whole new car!

Gotta say +1 on the Cobb. Couple of people I know have it, and it's a very nice part. About as quiet as I've seen. Then again, I'm used to much louder, so it could just be quiet by comparison.

well i didn't stand on a scale with each part lol but it is A LOT lighter.

my car runs better at stage 2 then it did stock, no lie. The rumble from this exhaust is amazing, and it only got better after about 100 miles. At WOT on the highway it is orgasmic! even with how cold it is, i roll down my window before i turn onto the highway so i can hear it through 5th gear.

Down pipe was an amazing PITA and I would rather never have to do it again. Going to Force fed tomorrow to get on the dyno and see where i am at.

If you get the cobb and don't like it, i will give you back your money (not really but that is how confident i am you will like it if you are looking for a quiet rumble)

even if it is heavier (which i am pretty darn sure it isn't) i got dyno'd today at 311whp/294tq and all i have is cobb tbe, cobb ap and K&N drop in filter (although not mapped to that, only mapped to stg 2).

OP mentioned he wants power gains with catback. I would assume you gain not much for the money unless you go TBE with HFC and good downpipe, right? It seems to me the stock cat is the biggest bottleneck here.

Wink

Okay, after my research, here are some quick summary:

Buschur Racing Crossflow Cat-Back Exhaust
List $769; 29 lbs; 4"round tips; Natural bent pipe.; Kinda quiet...

ETS V2 Quiet Cat-Back Exhaust
List $849; 40 lbs; 4" tips; Fused pipe; "Y"shape for less back pressure; Factory mounting; Quiet...

Cobb 3" Evo X SS Cat-Back Exhaust
List $1195; 38lbs; 4"OEM oval tips; Natural bent pipe; "Y"shape for less back pressure; Factory mounting; Should be very quiet...

I guess I just go for the Cobb, kinda pricy tho

PS: I'd LOVE to have Turbo-back sys... but Warranty is still the most important issue for us SST lovers

I'm sorry, but I disagree completely. One of my closest friends has a crossflow, and I have the T1R 76S. I guarantee the crossflow would whip the T1R on the dyno, but in sound, there is no comparison. The crossflow sounds like a decently loud modded car when equipped with a test pipe. To me, it is loud. When I got rid of my UR single and came home with the T1R (I have a test pipe too), my wife literally could not hear me pull in the garage with the T1R from the living room. No way that would happen with the crossflow. If stock volume is 1 and fully straight piped with no mufflers or resonators is a 10, a T1R is a 3 and crossflow is a 6.

For guys with wives that are overly sensitive to loud cars, but still want some dyno proven gains, there is no other choice than the T1R. I'd personally much rather support Ultimate Racing or Buschur, but I got what is quiet after lotsa testing.

ok so I am a complete audiophile and love listening to my system in my cars. but i have to say, even more so now that the cobb tbe has broken in, I have gone full days without any music on and other days where I pause it when ever I am shifting through gears.

After break in of the new exhaust the rumble has become more pronounced. Not louder but more....rumbly?

here is a vid of about 120 miles after install, as always videos (especially taken from a phone) doesn't do the sound justice, but still sounds good.
