Question Any other Quiet Catback in current market? Minimal Mod...

Hello there
I am thinking of placing few mods into my new X SE and looking for the quiet catback dual-tip exhaust.

So far all I know are: One is Buschur racing catback w/ Quiet Muffler which came out a while ago in 2008, kinda old... The other one is ETS V2-Quiet edition and personally I don't like the sound and it doesn't gain much hp/tq as Buschur did...
Any other options for me in current market? Thanks in adv
I'd like to get some extra hp and tq with minimal sound notice

PS: I will only put a Ralliart highflow drop-in air filter and a catback exhaust, then get my X tuned. How much extra power it would gain in your opinion? Please take a guess for me . Also since SE has SST tranny, do you think it's ok just keeping the stock SST cooler for Auto-X after my little modification?

I'm in the same boat as you... trying to find a non-fart muffler, that doesn't broadcast I'm coming/going to all my neighbors.

So far, all I've found is:
- Buschur racing catback w/ Quiet Muffler
- ETS V2 Queit
- T1R 76S
- Meghan Racing OE-RS

The ETS seems to have the deepest growl, but maybe louder than the T1R.

The buschur quiet exhaust is not really quiet, their crossflow exhaust is quiet.

Your short list for quiet exhausts are:
a. Buschur crossflow
b. ETS v2 quiet
c. Perrin
d. Magnaflow
e. T1R

f. If you want to spend the money, someone will fab a custom exhaust for you.. but a quality shop is gonna charge you some coin to do it. Adam @ MAP is a good place to start if you are looking at this route.

From what I've seen on Youtube the GReddy single tip exhaust is pretty quiet also.

I used to have the Perrin catback which was pretty tame compared to others that I've heard.

cobb tbe. they also sell the AP so you won't have to get a "custom" tune.

I am ordering the cobb tbe monday, and I have the same needs/wants as you, a quiet low rumble. check out cobb and i am sure that you will go with them.

I say +1 for the Cobb if you want a quiet exhaust that's stock like. Also, if you auto-x it heavily then read through Brian Hackney's autox build and tests.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mo...one-lap-2.html

He addresses the SST oil cooler in the build as well as almost every other autox build question.

I have the Magnaflow setup with a stock cat, about 15,000 kms on it now and the sound has got a little bit louder since the install. Its a bit louder than stock when installed, cruising down the highway or in town its not noticeable until you go wide open throttle . I am happy with it.

Perrin Turbo BAck

Just installed the Perrin Turbo Back.... Awesome....not stock quiet but pretty deep low sound.

Give them a call, they even have a custom AP tune to match
