Headlight problem.. please help

So when I took my headlights apart to black them out, they have gotten out of whack. After trying so many things, just about everything my friend google had to offer on the subject, I have just given up on adjusting them, I don't know what to do. I have tried sticking a phillips screwdriver in the adjustment hole, I have tried attaching a ratchet/socket to the adjustment screw on the outside, nothing seems to work. I just spin and spin and spin and the screw spins too but the light never moves. Because the whole assembly is moving with it (as its supposed to I believe), I dont think I have stripped the gear out, just don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong anymore.

This is the closest I have gotten them:
On 4 (Lowest)

On 0 (highest)

They look so bad, its frustrating.

Time to make a visit to Mitsu, or local autobody shop.. Don't give yourself a headache, even if you are a do it yourself kinda of guy. I'm sure they can figure it out and explain any problem that occur and most likely adjust free of charge. =)

guess thats what I'll have to do.

I'm headed home from school to use a buddy's garage to install my ETS stuff this weekend, his dad is one of the best body guys in the state... he hopefully knows a thing or two about adjusting headlights and will be available this weekend.

its not side-side adjustment you need, one of your eyes is droopy lol. you probably thumbed the projector lense when you cracked your casing open to black them out. you might need to crack it open again to make it even.

ouch.. so with the adjustment diagram, I Had a chance to easily get to them tonight while installing my ETS goodies. The passenger side adjusted fine, I believe that adjustment screw (yellow thing sticking out the back) has seperated from the gear inside, and it wont move no matter how much I spin that screw either way.

How do I reattach it?
