help me with these noises please

ok I just want to know if this is normal evo noises.

1. when first starting the car, and going forward i hear a "clunk" type sound, almost like the AWD is kicking in the front wheels. That is the best i can explain this one. It happens only on my first movement forward after starting the car. No launch or craziness, just normal moving forward.

2. a "wobble" sound when driving. I at first thought it was an out of balance tire, so i got them balanced, no fix. Tomorrow i am taking it in for an alignment, which i was going to do anyways to get the camber how i want it.

are these normal evo sounds? thanks!

The clunk you mention...I think I have it also. Since day-one of owning my car, I'll go in reverse to get out of my driveway (or a parking spot), and no noise. Then the first second my car begins moving forward, I'll hear something I would call a "brushing" noise. Almost like metal-on-metal friction. It's extremely brief...maybe lasts less than a second, and I won;t hear it again until the next time I'm pulling out of my driveway or parking spot.

I really haven't been too concerned. It's more of a matter of curiousity than fear of something being wrong. But if anyone knows what this might be, I'd love to hear your thoughts - Thanks!

yea i have that noise on my '10 MR when first going out to work in the morning. i back out my car from a rest and after i go forward for like 5 feet it goes click/clrrrk type sound but it even did it when i had an '09 GTS.

i have this other noise when backing out of my driveway (which is sloped so i back UP and out) that sounds like you tap metal with something else metal, more like a CLINK, not sure what it is.

I have the exact same noise when I first start up in the morning and drive out of my driveway. I was thinking this was because I have 2 different bolt springs attaching my downpipe to the turbo. I'm going to put on the original spring this weekend and see if this has anything to do with the clunking noise.

Dont know about the "wobble" noise, dont have that in my car
