I don't understand why people refuse to drive their evos for the winter. That's when awd shines.

After I bought my evo, I couldnt stand the thought of having the Wisconsin Winter conditions trash it... I have the factroy option rubber mats, and the front end and rocker 3M shield, but I thought to be on the safe side I had better just move.

So I decided to move to South Carolina.
Ill be relocation on the 16th of Dec.

.. wish me luck.

And where Salt corrodes the the underside and engine bay.

my car is two years old and the previous owner had driven it in the winter, all of the underbody parts are begining to corrode and rust.
My friend has on 05 he bought new and he has not driven it in the winter, the under body and engine bay are like new. not corrosion no rust.

I do believe they make something you can spray on the parts that are prone to rusting to help prevent this. Forget the name, i think its kinda like rhino liner, except for the fact it will wear off after a while. Anyone have any experience or know anything about the quality of this product?

I would drive my car in the winter again but one problem. I recently modded with some highend parts and I can't for the love of god let the chicago salt corrode those parts. I have a full Ti swap out on my car. Carbon fiber aero parts I can take off but it's a ***** to take the lip off with all those rivets. So in the end i brought a used Scion xB as my winter beater and daily driver to work. The evo now is a weekend and evening toy.

Add that to the list of things to get.
