I just got a GG X SE! Unfortunately the previous owner never gave me the numbered fob so I don't know what number mine is

Any other way to find out? Genuinely curious.

Hey everyone, been lurking on this forum for YEARS! Finally left the Subaru crowd and crossed over to the DARK SIDE. Just picked up a white SE this afternoon that was traded in about a week ago. Not sure how to determine the production number, but I do love the SST even though I know it's a bit finicky. Luckily Mitsubishi tossed in a pretty decent warranty with it.

 

No, unfortunately. The belief is that Mitsubishi assigned the numbers as they were sold to the end customers. So for example, I was probably the 30th person to buy an SE (I bought mine in September 2010), but seemed to be the first person to post the information on the forums. Nobody has found a correlation between the production number and another other number on the car.

The only thing you can try to do is track down the original owner and ask.

Welcome! Have you tried all the modes of the transmission? Out on the track, under heavy breaking and corner exit is where it really shines.

Have you tried launch control yet?

Shame I'll have to track down the original owner for that keychain. I haven't tried launch control yet, been too scared to actually. Don't want to break this thing before my first oil change. I've tried all the modes, but I've ended up driving around in S-Sport and manual mode all the time. I want to keep this SST in good condition!

 

#245 checking in. AMS built 2.2L / 750R with 22k miles and 511whp on pump. Had for just over a year now...it's a blast I love it.

Well 3 year later update.....
I can confirm the hoarding of the 12 SE's..
I just purchased a wicked white 2010 SE with 6 miles on it that apparently was stored with the other 11 in a warehouse since 2010.
I'm waiting on the car to be shipped to me then I will do a photoshoot and upload some pics.
Supposedly they sold 2 white already and I got the last white one.
There are 4 black 3 grey and 2 blue left.
I wonder how hard a time I will have getting a numbered key chain 5 years after the fact
