I find these ecu's are quiet picky.

My last overboost (MAF reading out of range, or something like that) hid itself on the SES on dash, but the OBDII puller found it. Had to go from the 'Zone to O'Reilly to clear it because a pinhead biatch at 'Zone wouldn't let me. (How screwed up is that?!)

I wish we had pep boys 'round these parts. OBDIIs around our parts stores are ~$150 to have one that can clear codes.

almost sure the ap with the evo works just like the one on my subaru.. it should marry to the car, which most people aren't gonna go through the hassal to cause it would prolly take an hr to de-marry your car marry to there's clear a code then de-marry and marry again to your car, id been at ad. auto parts bought a scanner cleared the code and at my local bar having a by the time yall finished playing with each other sorry just saying

Yeah forgot about that. I have one connected to my car and still didn't register. I come from VW/Audi land where people have VAGCOM and can do everything the OEM scan tool can do and that's where my mind was.

That's the best thing to do. Even if it turns out to be no big deal... at least you'll know that for sure. And you'll be able to use it on your car and friends cars in the future.

Right on. I actually popped for a pretty nice one from Innova that had good ratings on Amazon. I figure this is one of those purchases I'll only need to make once, so I spent a little more.

P1235

Per the scanner's freeze-frame 5500ish RPM, speed to remain undisclosed but >65, TPS somewhere near WOT but not 100%, ambient temp 17 degrees.

From what I've read so far, no cause for alarm...

My favorite SES. "Overboostin'" Now when others say you're not driving your car hard enough, tell them you overboost and have a SES to prove it.

P0171 is the other bad MAF one; that says system 1 bank too lean. In that case, CLEAN your Maf.

Yep, picky and sensitive ECUs.
