Button next to VDC

hey

this is probably a retarded question but test drove an EVO X and was wondering what is that button nest to the VDC ( has a dial on it) looks like fog light adjustment? or it just adjsut dimming of the interior lights?

I believe you're referring to the headlight adjustment dial to adjust up/down. I personally keep my on 0, the highest setting. It's my first car with HID and I love the way it looks

Yes it's the headlight adjustment knob. It should be set on 0 unless you have the back loaded and weighted down, therefore making the front end point higher up and then you would set the knob according to how much you need the headlights to come down. Most HID cars have automatic load leveling lights that adjust automatically to this by a sensor attached to the rear axle. Ours are manually adjusted. If at night you have the lights on and change the dial, you will see the lights point further down or up depending on which way you go. But unloaded, it should be set at 0.

^ B thankful that they are manual for they are less likely to break...my wife's car has auto adjusting headlights and when the dedicated "computer" fails, after warranty, of course, it is >$400 to replace!

old technology, its been used for years, but in US only "expensive"/"fancy" cars have it lol, until i got my evo and i was like cool i get to have to adjust my HID's lol
