No, it holds the exhaust in place and reduces rattling and banging around of the exhaust. I am not running these specifically, but running others and they are a nice choice if you want to keep you exhaust in place all the time.

Anyone have these exhaust mounts and willing to take a pic for me? Just so I make sure I haven't done this incorrectly. Here is my set up. Look at the gap between the exhaust and the bumper and how it's slightly off center.

yorT, the mounts are not orientated correctly. It's right in your post, 2nd picture; just like the stock ones.

Thank you. It looks as if this pic of the ams exhaust has the torque solutions hangers. Hard to tell but looks as if I need to rotate them.

I had no real big issues installing these exhaust mounts on my Perrin CBE and AMS HFC (on my back in the driveway using ramps). Silicone spray is your friend when installing...that and warming up the mounts if it's cold outside. I have to admit though the mount for the HFC was the toughest to install. I had to push up on the exhaust because the new mount is a little shorter than the stock one.

I have these, they are amazing, but definitely a PITA to install.

For the record, the first pic was right. Its a PITA, but they will go on and you will prob need help.

Aside from that, Im highly disappointed with these mounts and I will be going back to OEM. I've had the mounts installed for only 6 weeks and one is already broken. Their website states that the mounts are, "street and track torture tested," yet they didn't hold up with my daily driving to/from work. Sure, I get on it every now and then but no street racing or track time. There's no reason why these mounts should have failed so soon under normal driving conditions except for poor quality.

I tried them, then switched back to stock. There is nothing wrong with the rubber hangers.

I'm going back to the rubber ones as soon as I get paid. I feel these were a waste of money and now I'm driving around worried that the others will break at any moment completely ruining a $950 exhaust system. Not cool.
