I wouldn't buy a used Evo that clearly had been beaten on or had crazy mods that didn't make sense, but some used Evo's are definitely worth considering.

Lemme guess. You were at South Coast Mitsubishi and the guy's name rhymed with "Spam" right?

only for the original owner and that is for powertrain only. Plus, I wouldn't count on Mitsu honoring the warranty unless you are able to keep the car completely stock with a good record. I have a few friends that are X owners and they told me to not even consider the warranty part.

Should I worry about those components? I know the engine can take alot of abuse however I don't want something to crap out on me within the next few months....

Any personal experiences with used cars?

thanks

I have been doing research on EvoXs for a while since I have decided that I would purchase a X in the spring or summer of this year. Advices from a few X owners that I know of is to make sure the clutch has been replaced with a quality clutch. OEM factory clutches are junk. Factory tires wears very fast and are expensive to replace. Other than that, just make sure all maintenance records are up to date and it is taken care of.
