Quick question about Deatsch Werks

I ordered some Deatsch werks 1000cc injectors last week. They finally came in today, however when I open the box I surprise to find the injectors black instead of green color. Every single picture I saw of them online is green. Does anyone know if this is a new thing for DW?

I also notice the injectors do not say DW on them, but they do say Denso??

Are the 1000cc suppose to be black instead of green?
Who is Denso?

Thanks for reading.

So after doing some searching and reading, I came up with the following information. The company Denso is the one that makes the injectors, but DW does the flow rate and stuff.

The only thing that I am not finding is the color. I have a friend who purchase the DW1000cc a while back and his are green. I want to make sure I have the right ones before I start my turbo installation.

I tried calling the company they are closed right now. So I will try again in the morning.

Trying to see if anyone on here received black injectors.

Thanks.

Injectors are like clutches, very few actual manufacturers, but lots of companies who modify them in different ways to fit various applications and needs.

Madrican- Something else you might wanna know. The Deatschwerks are a couple mm's taller than the stock injectors. Some have used spacers on the fuel rail and some have not. Both with no issues. But I'm gonna try to put some spacers on the fuel rail to space them exatly to the stock ones. Does anyone know this exact number or a good spacer to use? Thanks!

The green injectors are from when we first introduced the EvoX injectors, and many of our dealers have not updated the picture.

The black bodied injectors are our current offering for the EvoX 1000cc and 1300cc.

Madrican, for the EvoX we use new Denso housings and coils that are manufactured in-house to our specifications for the flow rates we offer.

To answer your part of the question, Greg, the correct height spacers are included with the injectors.

I'm on EvoM almost every day, so feel free to PM me or give us a call if you have questions or tech help.

Is there any differance between the Green and the Black bodied injectors? I just got my 1000cc DW injectors today and there Green with no spacers. Thanks!

Greg gave me a quick phone call and I was able to answer his questions there.

For those that might have a similar question, the newest batch of EvoX 1000cc and 1300cc injectors have a black housing and are a little taller than the green/blue-green injectors. Spacers are provided to accomodate the added height. Function is the same.
