how do you not notice?! especially pushing the car that far back! backing up should have gotten harder to do since they literally moved a 3,000lb car... you dont think they were like "hey wtf is blocking me from backing up?" i mean people are stupid but seriously?! if that were me id be breaking windows until i got an answer, or deflating tires

sorry to hear about this mess, hope everything gets worked out!

Agreed, but you don't necessarily have to file a police report. I had an uninsured motorist claim paid without one and it didn't affect my rates.

By the way OP, you don't really ask the insurance company to replace anything. They pretty much do what they want to restore you to pre loss condition. Judging by the pics they would probably replace your bumper cover vs. repairing it.

Someone hit driver side taillight about a year ago (and left), so I feel your pain. JDM ain't cheap, I hope all hit-and-runners rot in hell!

Did you call the police and file a report when you found your car like that? If you did, they'll do all the investigating for you.

If you didn't, you should call the police department and see if they'll come out to take a look. You can show them the pictures and explain the situation. They may still do some detective work to figure out what happened and who did it.

In the end, it's a hit-and-run accident and you should have the police involved (even if you don't go to your insurance to get it fixed).

I find it very hard to belive someone wouldnt notice they were pushing a car. Even if they were in a huge truck or intoxicated. To move your car that far unintentionaly it would have to be hit pretty hard (which it clearly was not) I think this was deffinitly done on purpose because it was pushed perfectly straight forward and at a very slow speed. So its not like it all happend in an instant were the other driver coldnt stop/ or didnt relize what he/she was doing, i mean come on.. your car was moved like 10'+

Goodluck finding the culprit
