Am I the only one who would pick the 45k one and try to get the price knocked down say 1000-1500?
I've had no difficulty buying used Evos. If you have concerns, take it to a reputable shop and pay them 1-2 hours of labor to look it over, compression test, etc. If you're going to do the same/similar mods, suddenly that $2500 price difference doubles to $5k. There is little damage that can be done with bolt ons that cannot be easily remediated. Buy the cheap one, and put some of the 2500-5k savings aside for a clutch, which you will likely eventually need no matter which one you choose.
