AMS Intercooler 2008 vs 2010 HELP!

I can tell that this isn't the new DIECAST model, but will this still fit a 2010 GSR or do I need to purchase something additional?

Looks like you might have the same problem as this guy with the Greddy FMIC. He made his own bracket:

Also, here's another thread that might help:

I think I may be OK. They said the 2010 Mitsu models do not come with a weight hangar. If it did, I would have need to removed it.

Yes, the problem isn't not having the hangar, the problem is not having the bolt holes that the FMIC would bolt into. You can make your own if you're comfortable with it, or you can purchase the actual OEM weight hangar ( to my knowledge ).

The mounting bracket on the 08-09 ams fmic (like yours) is different from the 10-11's. Refer to la laker fan's post of the greddy fmic install. he was in a similar situation and made his own bracket.

I don't think the 2010 Xs come with the weight. So I should be OK?

Read my post above. The problem isn't not having the WEIGHT, the problem is not having the pre-drilled holes that bolted the weight ON. If you have mad fabrication skills then make your bracket and drill your own holes. If you're like me and don't really know how to use that stuff, then you need one SPECIFICALLY for our models. Hope this helped.

Ran into this problem when I swapped my AMS IC from my 2008 GSR to my 2010 SE. The black mounting bracket on the 2008 is bigger and the AMS IC is made to bolt up to it. The 2010 is re-designed and much smaller and lighter, so the older AMS IC (they re-designed it for the 2010 models) does not bolt straight up. The solution is simple and easy to do, see post # 63 for pics:
