Dealer wants ur money... I've got tricked or me being dumb.. Got the service I don't need.. Charged me over $170... I think 3k or 5k oil change and 15k or 30k flushing all diff fluid and trans. And I think serpentine belts and spark plugs are due at 60k... Normal driving.. If u track ur car than that's different story..

Sorry everyone I wasn't trying to be rude to anyone. Sorry Xi if it came off as rude. My apologies dude.

I want to thank eveyone for their input. I just thought the 7500 mile service was evo specific. I keep finding out new things about this car while surfing the forums.

Actually I'll have to apologize because I left a LOT of information out in my reply, I was pretty out of it when I posted. I assumed you didn't change your oil at 7.5k miles so that's why I said I would change it at 3000mi if not sooner. Also, the reason why I don't trust the inspection thing on the computer is that mine's set really weird, the last time the dealer reset it, it said I needed an oil change in 6500 miles, which is kind of insane because with the way the turbo cooks the oil, I wouldn't trust something like Mobil-1 past 4000 miles at best. But that depends on how much you're in boost.

I can't find the blinker fluid.

Heh just kidding. It has been a very long time since I've been to a dealership but I thought I remember reading something about how they do a fluid flush on all fluids and service the turbo to make sure everything is working fine.

I got the same letter from Long Beach Mitsubishi so I called in and asked what the service entailed.

It's an Oil Change and Tire Rotation.
Considering the factory Oil Change schedule is every 3,500 miles (or something like that), you technically shouldn't have to be due for one if you've been taking it to the dealership.

And the Tire Rotation is easy to do on your own if you have the right tools or if your friend has the right tools.

I didn't even bother asking what they were going to charge for that "Service" since I can do it all on my own.

Tools to do a rotation? Everything you need is in your trunk.

the 7,500k is to flush the power steering fluid, reset the external gas gauge, and flip the belts.
