7500 mile service? What is it?

I'm looking at the My evo paperwork and can't seem to find it on here?

Heres a letter I got from the dealership and my maintenance schedule.

Please inform me. I want to have some info before i call and negotiate a price. Thank you

I change my oil when the computer tells me too. Not at 3k Miles.

I would change my oil at 3k miles... sooner if it's your first oil change.

thanks for the reply. I changed the original oil at 5k miles. I rarely drive the car and wanted info on this service.

Thanks.

there is nothing to do at that mileage. change your driveline fluids at 15k or if you're pretty easy on the car (i.e., not beating the **** out of it at the track many times in a year) just changes them at 30k along with accessory belt and plugs.

oil can stand to be done every 3k miles. i don't like how much gas/e85 gets into it in a short period of time so i change mine frequently.

Kool dude,

Thank you. I'll skip it and look forward to the 10K service.

Wow.... Rude much..... Anyway the milage on the computer is telling you how long till your next "major" service. Mitsubishi as well as most people who own them say you should do oil changes on any performance car every 3000. But hey, you couldn't possibly be shortning the life of your motor right?

Instead of coming on here with rude responses for people with advice maybe you should just call the dealership and ask what they do on the 7500 mile service.

At least he said thanks.

OP - Just follow the schedule in the book. 7,500 service is the dealer trying to rape every penny out of you. I would have done the first service early (like a break in) but with the synthetic you're good for the 5,000 miles.

As far as I know the Evo only needs 3k oil changes and service every 15k for other fluids. 30k for the turbo. Although I'd rather just not ever take my car to a mitsu dealership.

That's mitsu trying to squeeze out every penny they can out of you. If you barely drive your Evo (like myself) there's no need for that 7k what ever bunch of bovine service...!

Sorry if I misinterpreted the "Thanks" as sarcastic, if it wasn't meant to be OP, then my bad!

What are you doing at 30k for the turbo? If there's something to do it's new for the X as nothing needs to be done on a turbo for the 8 and 9s, unless you want to upgrade or blow your turbo. There isn't any turbo maintenance. Or are you being sarcastic...if that's the case check the blinker fluid also.
