The Evo X really is a cop magnet.
i got pulled over twice in my first month driving my evo and i got two fix it tickets for my front license already. my last car toyota 4 runner has had fewer problems in my whole time driving it than 1 month of my evo. (my fix it for front license were from parking enforcement)
This is odd, because I used to drive Chevy Cobalt SS/SC with a giant wing and aftermarket exhaust. Needless to say every couple of days I'd have some cop just pacing me at night coming home from work, or some random cop pull me over because I wandered too close to the double yellow line.
Ever since I got my RR Evo X, I haven't had any of those problems. I also live in NE, where State Police is notorious in stuff like speeding tickets, and don't give out breaks (you gotta be ex-military to get into the MA SP).

my 2010 GSR came with a mount that mounts to that front screen but screw that my car is too gorgeous to ruin with a plate, first time i got pulled over for no plate i told the cop that and he laughed... let me go even. but that car is an attention getter.... especially with a high power exhaust. but fix - it tickets just accumulate loss of money, no points on the license so screw it
E.g:
Average speed cameras
Gas station
Congestion zones (e.g. Central London)
Bus lanes (auto issued fines, for driving in or stopping)
Traffic monitoring (on many roads, city boundaries, etc)
Parking (e.g. Airports, make sure you don't stay more than 10 mins etc)
Patrol cars have ANPR systems with a camera reading plates, if the car in front (or coming the other way) is tagged as having some problem (stolen, no tax) it sets off an alarm in the patrol car.
Also in the UK, the cops are heavy handed with having correctly formatted licence plates. Get pulled for incorrect typeface, spacing, etc, then expect a fine and a fix-it order. Wouldn't want the cameras to not work would we
I've gotten pulled over a few times for not having my front license plate I guess it jus depends on the cop n mood he's in?? Wen I had my civic they Wer on my *** like white on rice!!!! Now with my EVO I've only been pulled over 1 time n not even in my city!! I was in SF wen I got pulled over!! My EVO doesn't have holes in the front bumper to attach the plate? So y wud I drill my bumper for that ****?? I'm koo!!! Although I have seen sum EVOs wit the plate mounted....I still prefer to have mine in the windshield!!
7k miles on my X
pulled over 5 times and 3 tickets last time, fighting them as I was not speeding and she's said I was doing 156 km. Such bs but what can we do
we should thank highschool kids who buy civics and drive like they STOL it

Doubtful.
I think it's actually pretty intuitive that a relatively significant (compared to the surface area making up the front of your vehicle) flat piece of reflective material that is hung on a point toward the very front of your vehicle would certainly enhance the laser's ability to get a reading. Not saying it's used for aiming or that you can't get a reading without one, but you can get a reading quicker and from farther away when a front plate is on. Plenty of info on this - Guys of Lidar forums, google searches, biased studies from Veil.
As a former police officer. The reason plates are hung on the front of the vehicle is for ease of identification coming or going. The front plate has nothing to do with ease of lasing a vehicle. Look up principles of light refraction before commenting that cops use a liscene plate as an aiming point for lasers.
