Considering to sell my Evo X - Need Advice
Supra TT's retailed for 42 grand. Including inflation, even this list price is underwater, and I bet you he will never sell that car for over 40 grand.
Including the costs to insure the car, maintenance over 20+ years, and yeah, that guy is still SERIOUSLY underwater.
Not counting the fact that very clean Supra TT's typically go for more like 30 grand.
It still stands, the ONLY Japanese car to have a return on investment (after inflation) is the 2000gt. Anyone putting cash into a vehicle on the off chance it will be worth more is a sucker.
Any don't even start with comparing stock market index fund in 1994 vs. buying a 42K Toyota Supra TT and then never driving it.

Insurance to drive it would be 300-1000 a year, over 20 years that adds up. Maintenance would be keeping the car clean and in running order over all the time. Oil goes bad, gas goes bad, parts need to be oiled and greased up.
The main problem I see with the Supra is they made too many of them. There are 100's available at any given time. And right now everyone has the same idea - keep the Supra nice and clean and flip it in 20 years, so if someone really wants to buy a collectible Supra, they won't have a problem.
Even if a Supra sells for 100 grand in 20 years, which I doubt, factoring in inflation and taking into account costs associated with the vehicle, you are probably just about breaking even.
Cars are stupid investments, plain and simple. If you have 40 grand to blow on a "collector" car these days, and have a 20 year investment window, invest in an index fund on the stock exchange.

As others have stated, I'd suggest just driving the cars. Why would you buy a $30k car if you are only going to have it sit in the garage? I understand that you don't want it to get scratched/dinged/whatever, but you can't "live in fear" that any time you take the car out, it will get a little dirty or a minor scratch..
When I bought my 2008 Evo X (brand new), it was the most expensive single item purchase of my life and I was scared out of my mind to let anything happen to it. Within 2 months, some jacka$$ in a Pickup Truck dented my Evo under the gas cap by opening their door into my car (and the only way they could have hit my car is with FULL EXTENSION of their door). I was extremely pissed for a couple of hours/days, but I got over it. Now that ding is just one of many battle scars from the last 2.5 years.
Enjoy the cars you bought.. I would love to have an S2000 and Evo X as my cars!

If you read back to my initial post about the scratches on my S from giving my wheel-chaired neighbor a ride, I took it to a very reputable shop to get an estimate. He estimated $900 dollars to fix the scratch! So I will get it fixed and I will be even more protective of my car.
I don't consider either car to be an investment by any means. I just like keeping my cars immaculate.
I also want to say that I appreciate everyone's responses. It puts some things into perspective.

dude I drive on the most ****tiest roads available on planet earth. I have to avoid 5 potholes for every 2 km's I drive. And as expected it's not possible so I do fall into one every now and then. The roads that I drive on are very uneven and it breaks my back. Yet, if i get a empty stretch of concrete I put my foot on the pedal and all the back pain and frown disappears. If I can drive the Evo X in Bangladesh and it can handle all that, then believe me you should drive the wheels of your car. And all it will say is "Thank You".
