Evo X MPG

Not sure about the accuracy of each readout, but the EVO shows about 26 to 27 MPG at 52 MPH (on cruise) at 2200rpm, and the same stretch shows 30 to 31 on a 08 Z06 but only 1100 RPM. The Evo only has about 1K miles will this possibly increase later?

what exactly are you asking?

is it accurate? yeah, unless you change injectors. nothing beats tank-to-tank milage/gallons put in the tank

is it going to get better? no. be thankful you are getting 25+ cruising on gas. most people don't get over 20-22.

I averaged 19.2 mpg for a full tank in my Evo X and for the most part, I drove it like a normal daily driver. When I was having fun, I would get 16.8 mpg to a tank.

Getting 20-21 mpg combined mpg with some spirited driving here and there. Pretty acceptable to me

My mistake. I thought I read somewhere that the 6th gear of the mr and the 5th gear of the manual were 1 to 1. They are 0.7 to 1 (an overdrive gear). The fuel savings on the ZO6 is that 6th gear is 0.5 to 1

Not sure what you are driving at with the Corvette numbers. Corvettes will get better highway mileage (30mpg+), Evos will be around 22mpg on the highway. Do not expect it to get any better.

I was getting 17.5 driving normal and having fun at times. Placed a K&N drop in it went up to 20 driving the same way! the filter will pay for it self in no time!

Not complaining, mileage is not why I bought the EVO. Gas could go to $10 and I would still never consider a Prius or some electric POS. Just comparing a 4cyl 290hp with a turbo to a V8 500hp NA engine.
