Really? My wife and I pay much less than that for our vehicles including my X. I am an insurance agent in Plano if you would like to talk to someone reasonable...

I had a claim already with less the 5K miles on the car. Woke up in the morning on a ski trip walked out of the condo to the car, and someone backed into it. Cracked bumber cover, diffuser, and lense and minor dent in the rear quarter = 3K worth of damage.

i think the best bet would be to do a multicar policy, you get the multicar discount and you just tell them you dont drive the evo and only use it for pleasure.

i go slow on the streets, and fast on the track...

avoid tickets and wrecks (knock on wood i haven't wrecked at the track)

I will admit it is hard to contain myself between track events.

I love NJM, I pay a little over $1000 a year as a second "pleasure" vehicle. I am also over 30 and have other insurance with them, so I guess that helps. Clean record Did I mention I also get a dividend every year, which bring it even lower

Perhaps its the AWD factor...people think they're invincible and the extra traction gets them in trouble.

Just speaking my mind.

This may have something to do with it.
