I am insured through Allstate for a 2006 Sti and a 2010 Evo gsr. I pay $1740 per year for both cars fully covered with a $500 deductible. I also have my homeowners insurance through them. I am 28 with multiple tickets on record in the last 7 years but none in the last 5. I have always paid myself for any accidents that were my fault.
USAA has raised my premium the last two times I've renewed my coverage. I called them the other day and they looked at my policy and said the reason for it going up is because the safety rating keeps going down on the car. She tried changing my limits and deductible but no matter what it was between $600-700 every 6 months.
I am switching to state farm next month because they quoted me $480 for 6 months.

Hold on, you're lumping Evo X's with VIII's and IX's? Insurance agencies don't do that.
In FACT when I sold my VIII and got my X the next week (went from 03 VIII to a 08 X) my insurance premium DROPPED. The reasons were, the X has a much better crash rating, the X is involved in less wrecks, and the X is in the hands of less younger kids.

My Evo premium went up over $300... Im not too happy about it but I expected it. Got a note saying that the rating changed. I was only paying around $1100 a year for full coverage in NJ. I have new jersey manufacturers so its pretty much the cheapest you can get in NJ. In comparison my 2011 Fiesta is only around $800.
