cam selection

I was looking into getting some cams for the evo X MR. Just curious what everyone is running. I have stock turbo so I don't need insane cams but I would like a decent set that would improve mid/high range power and obviously also give my car alittle better sound. Anyone running a good cam setup on their stock turbo evo x / or xMR?

thanks for the input everyone!

The computer in the X keeps cams from sounding all that great. Most people are installing the GSC S2 or AMS cams right now...turbo size doesn't seem to matter.

Careful with the kelfords cause they're European and ive heard some nightmare stories with the customer service. Ie: my brother got cams for his 9 and they came scratched. Took 2 months to get replaced

I am running the GSC S2. It is s a great cam and they couldn't be better people to work with. The S2 is a pretty aggressive cam for the street but the S1 might be perfect.

The key seems to be the install. EFI Logics spent a while on mine, getting them just right. They are meticulous. It isn't just a slam dunk, as you want them to take a ton of care set them up properly.

^^^ definitely. I don't drive my car daily but I'm not looking for anything too agressive. I do however drive a X MR if it make a difference which I dont think it does.

The kelford b's were the cam to get, until the gsc s2 came out and is a little more aggressive. The AMS cam is an even more aggressive custom kelford. Seeing how the gsc is always on back order, get the kelfords. No one has really been able to show if Kelford -> S2 makes any more actual power.

Cams on the stock turbo are a waste of money.

cams as big as kelford or s2 on stock turbo will hurt you. they move the power band up higher into the rpm range, and the stock turbo doesn't have any more power to give you up there. As stated by rb, cams on a stock turbo are a bad idea.
