Warranty question.

Ok so i bought my car back in august with 28k miles on it and now i have 44k miles. I do not beleive that the fluids (I.E tranny diff) were changed. If i bring in my car to a dealer to get it serviced with my modifications on the car will it void my warranty even tho its not a warranty related visit. Or am i better of taking it to my shop?

Doesn't matter, it won't affect your warranty.

You need a special tool that the dealer will have. They hook it up to the car to cycle the fluid when they are changing it. Without it you will have improper fluid levels.

If you take it to a private shop they will most likely NOT have the tool to do it properly.

Dealer could void warranty for anything dealing with powertrain, drivetrain, etc. Depends on much of a ***** the guy you deal with is. However, a scheduled fluid change should not depend on what mods you have. Also, no need for any tool. I've changed every fluid but the ACD/AYC controller without one.

No special tools are needed for the regular maintenance drivetrain fluids, they're simple drain/fill.
