Why did so many people keep talking about a Turbo timer after it was already stated go EVO X doesn't have a Turbo timer.

Anything to be concerned about? Anyone else see anything similar?

I have an 2010 SE with about 7k miles.
the owners manual explains it IIRC its to allow time for the trans to disengage etc normal mine does ut for about 1 second

Epic bump,

A few days ago, after some hard driving when I parked and turned off the ignition, but the fans didn't stay on like they usually do after a drive like that.

About 2 mins later when I turn on the ignition the heat guage was all the way up to the first mark, but dropped back to half after couple of seconds.

Any ideas of what could cause this?

Thanks

If the car is too hot when you shut it off - it will remain on until it cools... it is turbo after all..

That's the thing, the fans didn't stay on. Since them I have never heard them at full speed either

My bad - yeah I would definitely take it to get it diagnosed if the fans are not on and the heat gauge spikes.
