Just got done putting the new motor in my evo and we cant get it to crank. The motor turns over freely, the start ignitor has no power. battery is good. Where to look next?

 

Starter has power. no signal to starter?

 

Check all your fuses

 

All fuses are good. all grounds are good. The car has sat for about 3 months i have never touched the wiring it is all original. It does have a AMS tune on it but the Ecu hooks up fine with evo scan so the ECU is not bricked.

 

Car starts only if you bypass the signal wire and jump it by hand. the starter relay is good. Why would the signal wire not work with the ignition?

 

FIXED the Compressor plug is the same as the signal wire plug swap those around and fires right up.
