66000 miles, did the hood latch and fuel line recalls, changed to blue relays. Original clutch still good, one cv boot replaced under warranty. Ran AP stage one from ~12000 miles to 60000, then went to setup in my sig. Take good care of her and she'll take god care of you

That is the most important advice you can get. If you take care of the car and do all the maintenance when you are supposed to, or maybe a little before, than everything goes fine.

As far as the navi, I don't have it.. But there was an article floating around here saying that it was one of the best OEM Navi's in cars today, FWIW.

23K miles, had the intake manifold replaced under warranty, and have had the front seats staple issue; which was also repaired under warranty

My passenger seat is having this issue. I think I'm out of warranty for that issue though...blah. From my earlier post yesterday, I don't know why my transfer case started leaking. I bought my X with 12k miles on it...I'm guessing mine was one of those transfer cases that was overfilled
Anywho, I love my X

Thanks for additional replies, I think this is helpful for me And other potential owners. Scarry sounds like you have taken really nice care being on the OEM clutch for all those miles and mods!

I will look for that article on the nav.

It's nice to see there are people that don't actually drive their cars. WIN

Just shy of 13k miles

Had to replace my brake fluid, the stock stuff wanted to boil

Had to replace my brake lines, the stock ones expanded slightly when pressurized

Had to replace my brake pads, the stock ones weren't stopping fast enough

Had to replace my wheels, the stock ones were too heavy and narrow

Had to replace my intercooler, the stock one kept getting heat soaked

Had to replace my oil FOUR TIMES, the stock stuff got dirty at 2k miles, 5k miles, 8k miles and 11k miles

Had to replace my fuel pump relay, the stock one gave me nightmares

Had to replace my tail lights, the stock ones were pink

Had to replace my fog lights, they were impeding air flow

Had to replace my shifter, the stock one had an incredibly long throw to 5th

Had to replace my exhaust, from the turbo on back, the stock one was too quiet and too narrow

Oh, wait, you want to know about stuff that broke? Nothin.

82 miles when bought and 33,000 miles as of date 8/31/11.
  • replaced brakes and rotors
  • cracked brake line
  • 30k service
Other than that nothing but, lately its been very painful to the wallet.

41,000 miles, ZERO issues. I'm OCD with maintenance and have fun doing it. 30k service done at 25k, oil changes at every 2000-2500, plugs changed, relays, tensioner, etc. I had my doubts about the Evo holding up, but she's been good to me, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

wasting oil man. Way too soon. But the Evo should hold up. The older models are going strong and the driveline is one thing Mitsu does well on the Evo;s.
