Why is buying a car so hard sometimes?

Ok so I have been looking at Evos for a while now trying to find a good deal. So far the following has happened to me and my GF.

Most of the dealers I have called are totally out of thier minds.
Called a guy he got pulled over haven't heard back since.
Called a dealership, no one with seems to carry a fully functional brain.
Called a guy heard a loud noise phone hung up, have heard nothing since.
And most people talk to my GF like she is an idiot.

The hard part is, I am doing the looking. My GF will handle the buying and the paperwork due to me being 7,000 miles away right now, and everything I like is 350+ miles away and mostly individual sellers.

Seems to be that way for just about anything anymore. I bought two cars within the past two years. Paid in full, cash for both. Funny thing is I had a hell of a time buying both. It really takes a lot of work to get what you want. I don't know the reason for this, it's just the way it is anymore.

Sucks for you bro..for me it was simple..the only downfall was that I had to wait 2 months until I found the right one lol it had to be OB and with SSS package and low miles..as soon a I found it, took the trip and bought it

Well the hard part is I am in Afghanistan, it would be easier and I could handle things myself. It's hard playing "telephone"

Usually a lot of the difficulties revolve around trying to 'find a deal'. If you have cash in hand and are willing to pay near the asking price it goes pretty smooth.

Thats the thing I look for something in the area of what I will pay and most of the time I will pay the asking price. However apparently I can't even get people to call back lol

A lot of places are working the sales manager's old school tactic of physically getting you in the dealership hotseat to play by their rules.

Maybe you could get an over-the-phone deal on some high volume model, but they want to make money on an evo. It was easier in 2008 when ever car manufacturer on the planet got caught with their pants down when the economy stalled and had all kinds of left over inventory.

Did IQs just drop sharply all of the sudden? Or did people forget how to read. IF I say "I will pay the asking price" What are you talking about with "High volume cars"?

Be Alpha Yo?....Are you kidding me?

So back on to normal replies that A: actually make sense and B: Are statements made by a grown up.
