Thumbs down Valley Mitsu in Medina, OH..... Beware

I took my car in for service last week due to a rough idle and subsequent lean engine code. The dealership called and informed me that a vacuum line was disconnected, hence the rough idle and lean code. They then told me that it was not covered under warranty because I had an aftermarket boost gauge installed, so I had to pay for the "cost of inspection/diagnosis". Ok... no biggie, as long as it's reasonable I thought.

So I arrive at the dealership and the total is 90 bucks and some odd change... to plug in a hose that took 2 seconds. Not only that but it was a hose on the left side of the intake manifold near the dipstick and nowhere near the lines where the boost gauge tapped into, so the fact I had one installed should've been irrelevant. Also, my car had 1/4 of the gas in the gas tank missing for when the service technician test drove the car to make sure the issue didn't persist... no doubt joy riding.

I will not be taking my car back so soon and I highly recommend you all stay away as well.

this issue is a common VERY known issue that people talk about at least once a week when trouble shooting problems. SOrry you had to pay to do it. I just had my local shop zip tie it on.

I was aware of the issue with the vacuum line for the right side of the intake manifold close to the throttle body. This line I ziptied. I wasn't even aware of the trouble line on the left side since it was hiding behind the dipstick. I assume some of blame for not knowing but at the same time the cost to fix the issue is extremely ridiculous and shou'lve been covered under warranty regardless of the boost gauge.
