I am taking classes too so I am more than willing to help a fellow student (and fellow EVO owner) out so I took it. But, I am not sure how helpful my responses will be I onlly use the parking garages downtown when I am doing touristy stuff so at most once a month.

It sounds like you are making an phone app to check the status of parking garages which if nobody has thought of that is genius so good luck.

I don't think it's things like parking spaces, ticket stubs and lines that makes me avoid the parking lot... but rather the cost of parking in a lot.

Here some info on it:

The idea was to charge a .99 transaction fee every time someone used our services. Our services consists of integrating Ipass (or other electronic tolling) to parking garages. So there would be no need to carry cash/credit cards or parking tickets as the transponder would measure how long you stayed and charge you accordingly. Our service would also consist of an app which allows the users to see parking garage availability. This would be step one of the process which would eventually lead to no fee for customers and the parking garages being charged instead.
