I had wanted an evo for years and years (previously 4202r powered DSMer). Now finally a few years out of college I was in the position to buy one. I debated back and forth over the 8/9 and X. I knew it would be my only car and didn't want to bastardize it like I did the DSM, but just wanted something stock that would be fun and reliable. I ended up going with the X because they had less miles than the IX for less money.

Although I'm disappointed that I no longer have a 4g63, the 4B11 will do fine for daily driving and the power the car makes. If I ever want to go crazy fast again, rather then tear apart a fine Evo 8/9 I'll just buy a $2k DSM and do it to that.

"Practical family car" when its needs to be, and fun fun fun all the time! I also was sick of driving my wife's corolla after I had to give up my 86 mustang GT convertible and 03 celica gts turbo...

The first time I took my G35 out in the snow, I got 3 miles from my house, said f*ck this and traded it in for another Evo that day.

I was looking at cars one day in 2004 and didn't really know I wanted a turbocharged vehical until I test drove the last Apex Silver Evolution VIII GSR. It was from that moment that I knew I'd never go back to N/A. I traded my RSX type-s and bought the car the next day. Lucky because it was the last one left and the dealership wasn't getting anymore evo's that year. I Sold it 2006 and regretted every day of it so...I made a trip out the Costa Mesa, Ca and bought my 2008 EVO GSR plus I got the color I wanted...and I haven't looked back...best decision...

ha ha awesome. Yeah I wanted 4 doors, performance AWD for all weather AND handling. Plus the EVO is the fastest car and best handling car for the money. Period.

Thanks...You lived near Glendale/Peoria? I like it in the winter...the summers are getting to be more and more difficult (HEAT!) I take Mark Mitsubishi and then to my performance stuff I can't handle and UMS or prefer Wings performace.

Bought a new 1990 Talon back in the day, got hooked on AWD Turbo cars, had 3 WRX's, always wanted an EVO, as soon as it became available in Canada i got rid of the WRX and got an EVO

I'd buy another EVO

I was on leave at home in Clearwater, FL in March 2003. Saw three Evos at Loki Mitsubishi and decided to test drive one cause it looked cool to me. As soon as I drove it, I knew I had to have it. It was exactly what I wanted, a sedan that drove like a porsche (which means child proof). I've been driving them ever since.

I owned a 2002 MR2 Spyder back in 2009 and one of my best friends stopped by in his new 2008 RR X and just from the moment I saw the car I knew what I had to do. We literally went to the local dealership that night and I drove a 2008 PB GSR home. Just traded it in for a 2011 OB GSR little over a month ago. I can't see myself driving anything else, but unfortunately he traded his X in for an STI...

My car prior to the Evo was an 04 Spec V. That doesn't even come close to the Evo. I've never regretted that trade up
