Stupid Mistake...

Hey guys, i recently added half a qt. of 5w20 oil in my evo.. and the old oil i had in my car was 5w30.. Will this harm the car? Should i change re-change the oil?

Fine as long as you don't mix synthetic with conventional oil.

It is safe to mix synthetic with conventional oil. It is less safe to mix different brand synthetics as they may use different base stock. It is generally safe to mix same brand synthetics as they will use the same base stock.

You'll be ok but if you're worried change your oil. You can get 5 quarts and a filter at Walmart for under $30.

You're fine if you don't drive it too hard frequently (e.g. going on a track or something). If you're paranoid, just change it out.
