Your experience needed: what do others think of your Evo?
I get mixed reactions from people. I've had girls say they love how it looks and some that completely ignore it. Most guys like the looks but respect the performance of it more than anything. Haven't had too many guys give me **** about it other than a couple saying its just a regular Lancer since the wing is off...
EVERYONE that has been IN it has liked it.

I don't really care what my friends/other people think of my car. Actually most of my friends are more into jeeps or trucks. They like riding in it because it is fun though. We are probably going to turbo my cousins 2G eclipse this weekend so he likes the Evo. He's just like most DSM'ers, they are either too cheap to buy one or don't have enough money.
Anyway, I don't really care what anyone thinks of my car. I love driving it everyday. It is always a blast. Amazing performace, great reliability, good looking.. what more could you ask for? Now if I could just find a girl that met those standards!

A base 3 series is roughly 36 grand and comes well equipped with halogen headlights, fake leather, 16" wheels, and maybe if your lucky, an ipod cable
Lets not even start on the ride/handling/performance. People buy those cars for the badge and status...and typically are stretching their budget so far they can't afford anything else.
I'm married so I don't need a car to get me chicks lol. I don't care what other people think of my Evo. Evo and STI drivers get respect.... Civic drivers do not
Most of my friends who aren't car people don't understand it, they all think I should've kept my old C6. They really get thrown for a loop when I tell people I sent it more than 700 miles away to have work done to it(CBRD). At least some of my hardcore car friends understand.
I always have problems with people not realizing the car is an evo... Im fully modified but I still get those annoying comments like "nice lancer!" But on the other hand, i get a lot of respect from the local car scene. It just seems that there is a good number of people who have no idea what an evo is...
I'm married as well, my wife is cool with any 4 Door Sedan with AWD. It was the EVO or an IS250. The Evo won out because it's less flashy! (Go figure!)

Well gents/ladies I can say I officially don't care what anyone thinks of my car male or female wise. Its mine and I'll do what I want to it:-) I got a few comments about my eyelids on my car from folks up here saying they don't like them and the discussion wasn't even on the eyelids nor did I ask them of their opinion... it was about the wheels. You gotta do what makes you happy and if that's getting a Evo and painting it Baby blue or Hot pink than so be it. Can't be out to please everybody, especially with your own car....
I get looks from everybody with my Evo....I even had some grandma with a Honda Fit trying to race me on Saturday. I was like are you serious? She knew she was going straight and I was making a turn....boy I tell ya...some folks.
And as sad as it is, people are still caught up on a lot of names - like BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc...its a status symbol. I love Ferraris and if I had the money to get one and maintain it, I'd get one. But I'd drive the hell outta of it too (not to night clubs either)---it would not be a garage queen and I wouldn't care who's looking when I was driving it- unless its the coppers.....

Forgive me for learning slow and late, I recently realized that fancy-looking cars, such as Ferrari 458 or Lambo Gallardo, give you significantly better odds than cost-efficient performance cars, such as Nissan GT-R or Mitsubishi Evo, if you, say, go to upscale clubs looking for supermodel-hot girls.

Do you drive your car through the front door of the club to the middle of the dance floor?
Do you name drop whatever car you drive as an opening line with a girl? Then you will only attract one type of girl which I personally try to stay 1000 miles away from.
I choose a Lancer (yes, a Lancer) but it is epic fun to drive, and isn't trying so hard to be a status symbol. I think you have your head in the clouds a bit with thinking how the world really works.
First off... Evo is a DUDE magnet, not a chick. So is the GTR, just not as much as the evo is as it still looks like a "very fast" coupe in the eyes of girls. I will be generalizing the girls part, obviously not every girl is the same (even though they are all crazy, it is just a matter of being able to stand that craziness or not).
From my own experience, I wouldnt even want to pick up "that" chick who knows and wants to be in my evo but thats a different story (personal opinion). if you want to pick up that shallow snubby std filled hoe, you will need to have a porsche, lambo, ferrari, maserati etc... Even a GTR wont cut it for them if that is what you are looking for...
In general, I am with MAS2377TECH completely. I dont give a flying donkey sperm what people think anyways let alone care about it with my baby.
To sum up: Evo and GTR are dude magnets, "status symbol" vehicles such as ferrari/lambo etc are chick magnets.
