I am just curious, I bought my 2010 Evo X from a dealer in PA. I live in NJ. I have full bolt ons and a tune. I am getting water in my driver side rear tail light. If I go to kerbeck mitsubishi and they give me problems can i go to another dealer for the same reason or do they Blacklist our VIN? I mean is there a way a dealer will know I have been to another dealer ?

I know some dealers are "Mod Friendly", When other dealers Hear a evo with a catback and void the warranty.. I mean this goes for even a motor problem. Just checking before i go into the dealer and get black listed for a tail light and then down the road have a real problem but no one will fix it cause the car was Once "modded". AkA Blow motor take off all parts and say I dont know how it happen I drive like a grandma.

You shouldn't have any problem getting the tail light warranty since it has nothing to do with the powertrain but if they see if the rear tail light been damage or tamper with they might not warranty it. Dealers can only check the warranty work that was done to the car.

 

I've honestly thought the same things I have my evo x lowered with an intake and full exhaust I've been worried that if something does go wrong they're gonna be like oh it's cuz ur modded and then I'm **** outta luck. That's why I haven't changed more on the car or tuned it.
