Just get the springs and alignment with your new tires. The Swift Springs are an excellent choice.

A little off topic, my buddy is getting swift springs for his MR. He said he'll sell me his old springs for cheap? Any difference between the gsr and mr stock springs?

You would gain nothing from that. Save the money and get swifts or something else.

I have the Swift Spec R's and they are a nice drop that closes up some of the fender gap but still looks almost stock to the untrained eye. They are a bit stiff and the handling was only slightly improved if at all. I just added the Whiteline RCK after having just the springs on for a year and the difference is very noticable. With the RCK I got the results in handling and steering feel I was looking for when I installed the Swift's in the first place. I would highly recommend doing the RCK with the Swift's at the same time since you will need an alignment after doing either one.

Wheel gap "look" will have a bit to do with tire/wheel combo as well. Here is my car on normal Swifts. 18x10 +18 Wedsports with 275 wide tires. The combo works well IMO for someone looking for something aggressive that won't break the bank.

Thanks for everyone's valuable inputs, another follow-up question is can you still carry 4 people in the Evo after installing a set of mild drop springs like Swift?

Will you bottom out your car or hit the bump stop when you go over hump and dip on the road with 3 to 4 people in your car?

The car is basically the same as stock after a mild drop like Swift springs...you can pull in/out of the same places without a problem and you are able to haul 4/5 people like before.

Yep, unless you start running bigger or wider wheels and tires, you should be fine. I carry Swifts and haven't seen anyone have rubbing issues on stock wheels/tires.
