Evo Vs. 3 series
And if you are going to make a statement like that, you should be prepared to answer it with something other then "stop being so defensive about your Evos"
That being said, you can pick up a used 335i between 07-09 for an absolute steal and have a car that's much more refined as a whole than you get in an Evo.
And stock for stock, the 335i with N54 engine should outpace the Evo from a roll (where most spirited driving occurs).
A big IF you're the type of person that values a car as a whole, I would expect the 335i to be a better choice than the Evo. If you want singular performance from handling, the Evo is the better choice.
As other people said, a chip alone for $250 on the N54 can put you at or over 400 crank horsepower.
So before you scream BMW fan-boy, keep in mind, I do in fact own an Evo X as well.
It means BMW's refinement to their vehicles as a whole its on another level compared to Mitsu.

I was actually genuinely curious about which features you thought "blew the Evo out of the water". If you don't want to answer the question just say so. Don't put words in my mouth.

If you want to discuss actual features:
I enjoy things like the auto-rain sensing wipers (Yes you can get this in the MR, but I don't want to be forced to buy an automatic just to earn this feature).
Rear-A/C vents in the BMW, a nice luxury to my rear seat passengers.
Auto-dimming rear view mirrors (the interior mirror as well as the external mirrors) on the BMW.
A much better stock radio in the BMW even compared to the Rockford in the Evo.
Everything is illuminated (buttons everywhere) inside the BMW.. This is just personal preference but I like it.
Rear map lights, again nice reading lights for my passengers in the BMW.
Just to name a few..
I can list an extreme amount of features I enjoy..

I didn't intend to say refinement = feature-rich. But refinement should be involved as another item to consider if you're an adult car enthusiast.
It really looked like you were getting defensive for the Evo because I preferenced the BMW for most of my driving.

Excuse me for stating the brutally obvious, this is a high-performance car forum. When folks discuss features, the automatic assumption revolves around those same features doing something to help the actual mission of an automobile. What you're describing, is in essence, a choice in furniture.
I can't stand to see two of my friends (Felix and Jay) arguing.

I've had both cars too, and I definitely agree with the feature-rich comment. Of course new, you paid for those features, but the beauty of the depreciating 355i is that all those options don't mean a hill of beans on used car values.
"features" I miss from my 2007 335i
-A factory stereo that is actually awesome
-TPMS that isn't just an idiot light, the system identifies the trouble tire
-Adjustable power seats
-Seat heaters
-Sound deadening that rivals a Pharoah's tomb
-Dual climate zones
-Exterior safety lighting, easier to see getting in at night
-Universal garage door opener
-Auto dimming mirrors
-DI and way better fuel economy
-BMW assist and a Bluetooth system that doesn't suck
Some of that stuff is standard stock, some is included in sport/premium packages. You can get a highly optioned 2007 335i with decent mileage for mid 20s. The 335i fails at racecar, but the Evo fails at nice daily driver. They definitely don't check the same boxes. I missed the Evo most when away from it, hence why I'm back in one.

Yes, I must be talking about the next dining room set I'd like to have. It must have fast speed potential, features and be well refined. Yes, your analogy is totally working for you.
I can help.

I'll stand down, lol.
