Fuel Economy / Computer Readings

I haev a Ralliart and having some issues with achieving the manufacturing stated fuel economy.

I wonder if anyone would be able to tell me how to achieve the 11.9L/100km (city) fuel economy ?

I tried ways to not rev up the RPM while driving in the city but some how with the auto gears that is not really possible. The gears only make the change at 2500 to 3000 rpms

This could be something that I thought I might be doing wrong. I don't warm up the car in the morning but just let the car roll out instead of stepping on the accelarator.

When I drive I don't step extensively on the accelerator to gain speed, the car does that itself well enough .

I am thinking of changing to a cold air intake kit, I read it does improve the fuel milage and the filters last way longer than factory.

Anyone out there has a clue if it would help or its just me ?

not at all if you consider 3000 - 3500 rpms boost ?

I had a bet with someone that its just aseconomical to drive if you don't have a heavy foot...
