First a little history. I'm 42 and have owned and or driven many types of cars. I have owned 3 and 5 series BMW's, just about every type of 60's VW, 3 different Land Rovers, a Yamaha FZR, 2 different year Kawi ZX7's and a Ducati 996 (not cars I know) In the last 5 years of dating my fiancé she has owned (which basically means I have driven a lot) a Lexus IS and GS, Mercedes ML, Porsche Boxter and Boxter S, Porsche Carrera 4s, BMW 550 and 128. (yea my fiancé goes through a car a year it seems). My ex roommate let me drive many times his sl500 Mercedes and new model Porsche turbo. The reason I list these is not an attempt to show off if anybody was to take it that way, but instead to show what the EVO was up against. I also never owned a Japanese car. Just the three motorcycles because I stereotyped Japanese cars as reliable yet BORING cars with no soul. I'm the type that would take less reliable wih soul.

Ok so if you are still awake I will get to the point. With the exception of my ex roommates Porsche Turbo, the Evo is the most amazing car I have driven. By a long shot. It is no exaggeration to say the car makes you feel like superman. It inspires a confidence that no other car I have driven inspires. Canyon roads at speed seem almost as if you are taking a Sunday cruise. The Evo has completely altered how I view Japanese cars. The power, the sound, the ride are simply amazing. And the car is bone stock. I could only imagine what it will be like after I save a few grand to do some suspension and engine mods. It's like I am 17 again getting my very first car. I can't wait for morning to go to work just so I can drive. The bang for the buck on this car is out of this world. It is worth every penny I paid for it. This car, in my opinion has tons of soul and character. It inspires so much confidence in my driving ability that it may be dangerous as I almost feel there is no limit to what the car can do, but we all know there is always a limit. I am just no where near that limit yet.

And to add the icing to the cake, the Evo comes with this group. Other Evo owners that answer your questions almost the second you press the send button.

Anyways, hope this wasn't too long and drawn out for people to read through. Just figured I would write a bit about my impressions of the car. Please try to ignore any spelling errors. Doing this on my iPad and sometimes words don't go as planned on apple devices.
I wish I loved my Evo as much as you.I have a 2008 gsr and I have had nathing but problems with my car. But I guess it is my fault BC I am finding out it was put back to stock from a build. So my dream car is becoming a nightmare BC I dont know what was left behind.

To add to my so called review of the Evo X, I took it to Angeles Crest Highway today to cruise the canyon roads. I used to go there on my motorcycles a lot to have a little fun. Nice canyon roads with some large drop offs to your death just to keep you honest. The car didn't disappoint. I'm absolutly amazed how it handles. I even took a second to watch the graphic on the screen that shows where the power is going. Kind of dangerous but still cool to watch. The car was just so solid in the corners, even the corner that had a bunch of gravel that had come off the mountain. I think if I was in any other car I would have lost it but I could feel the Evo doing its thing when I hit the lose gravel. Further proof of the handeling capabilities of the Evo is I had a couple of crotch rocket bikes in front of me that waved me by after a mile or so. These guys were close to dragging thier knees in the corners. When I had my bike I don't remember a car being able to hang with us. I'm glad they let me by and didn't let their ego take over. I have seen many crashes there where guy's ego gets the best of them. I even backed off just for that reason.

I guess the reason I'm writing this is for people that may be on the fence. It's a crazy car. I remember watching Everyday Driver YouTube video on it, it was the icing on the cake to get me to buy it. That guy with the long hair should be a salesman for the Evo.
