I'll be visiting Cali in a few weeks. No more $3.99 for 93 Octane

Anyone know why you can only get 91 Octane in Cali? I know there are a few stations that have E85 and a higher octane.

But the majority is only up to 91

Where are you getting gas at? I only see 3 stations in San Diego with gas at or over $5.00

You can get premium for as low as $4.29 http://www.sandiegogasprices.com/index.aspx?fuel=C

Sudbury, Ontario... $1.35/L for regular, $1.49 for 91oct.
That's $5.11/gal for regular, and $5.64 for 91.

Conversion rate is 1.01 Canadian dollars per US dollar, so pretty much the same.

Do I mind driving the Evo? Not at all.

Just checked that website and the Shell in Del Mar where I last filled up is currently #4 on the list for most expensive at $4.97.

If you can't afford paying an extra 10$ per tank full, maybe you shouldn't own an evo.

I averaged 25mpg on the highway a week ago on a 200 mile+ trip

Could have averaged more but there was some stop and go traffic

I bought a 1989 camry just to pay the same price for gas I was paying a month ago. At least it's only 48 dollars to fill and I can drive two weeks between fill ups/

Ha. I took the same pic the otherday. It was mostly highway but was mixed driving with a little bit of city. Maybe a 50 mile trip. Averaged a little over 25mpg. Overall straight highway I get 25mpg. Mixed I will get 21-22mpg. Straight city I get about 18-19mpg. And then city with traffic I get about 15-17mpg. Overall its not bad. With the current gas prices it isnt that good. But as others have said. If you can't afford the gas you probably cant afford the Evo.

Years ago I was at a Hummer dealership with my buddy. I over heard a customer asking the salesman "what mpg do they get" and "how much would it cost in gas every month". The car salesman straight up told him "sir if you have to ask then perhapes a Hummer isn't the right choice for you". I started cracking up.
