Very Dim lights - HVAC & Cig lighter

So here goes:

*Cluster dimmer button is working only to control the cluster dimmer... which is fine.

*BUt it now doesnt let me dim or brighten the A/C, radio and cig lighter lights.

*The lights for the A/C, radio and cig lighter are impossible to see .... too damn dim.

Previous threads talk about fuses- but ALL fuses have been checked both under the hood and passenger side fuse box behind the glove box... none were blown

What could it possibly be?

^^ Yeah, I'm pretty sure the dimmer button only controls the center LCD display brightness.

Other than that, I think having your headlights completely off will leave the hvac & radio lighting at a brighter level.. then dimmer when the park lights, or headlights are turned on.

Just thinking here, but everytime my windows are already rolled up and I hit the button up again, all my interior lighting dims til I let go.. does your still do the same? If not, maybe something is causing a similar draw on the electrical system?

I do recall it being much brighter though. Also the "info" button was lit up before all this started happening, now even that has gone.

And your right, normally with the lights off the hvac and radio are lit brighter... but now they arent even lit at all. A verrry faint light can be seen in the hvac, and thats only when the cluster dimmer is turned all the way DOWN... lol... which is the opposite to what it should be.

Re: windows, the same is with mine.. but its been like that since new...whereas the dim lighting issue arose only a few days ago.

^^ My info button doesn't light up either.. not sure if it ever did.

Very weird though. There was one other guy in the audio/electrical section that had a similar problem.. mostly that the radio display was too dim & unreadable. Don't think he ever figured it out that I'm aware of.

I don't see how it could be a fuse.. it should either be on, off, or dimmed.

Maybe see if the dealership has any ideas?

Dealership is going to be the last resort. There isnt one close to me and they will need the car for a day... even longer if ordering parts are involved

Ive read that a few ppl have had this problem, but theirs turned out to be fuses.

Anyone have any further ideas?

Cheers

Might be a fuse? That doesn't look lit at all.
