Looking to upgrade my 08 gsr with a bigger turbo, preferably the EF4. What is the weak points in the evo x. I would like to see up to 500 hp but heard the stock block was only good up to 400 tq and heard the rods were weak. Anything else you can see that would need upgraded. I would like to make over 500 if the block can handle more than that? Any input on specs for the clutch, tranny, etc? Thanks guys

 

The plastic clutch master cylinder is probably the biggest flaw in the car 8/9 have metal. The plastic one is known for bursting under normal driving conditions especially is you have a aftermarket clutch. I unfortunately found out the hard way on my way to work earlier this year
