like everyone else has said, it depends on the dealership you go to for warranty purposes.

Ive taken my Evo running a full AMS turboback setup to a dealership for an oil leak and they didnt void my warranty or anything.

warranty issues aside your wayyyy before off getting a turboback..i remember seeing fireballs when mine was getting tuned

off topic... if i run a hi-flow cat can i still backfire and spit fireballs?

hasnt it been proven in the dyno x section that a downpipe doesn't do much for the x anyway on the stock turbo? its better to just run a catback with a test pipe?

Yes.

However, once you have TP, CB, Intake, FMIC, IC piping, 3port, tune..and you still have the itch for bolt-ons, next step is DP and exhaust mani

My T1R dual out TBE was very quiet. Everyone thought I had a cat!

The warranty is something I would like to keep as well. However, I did put a full catted tbe on my car. But, the way i see it, it's no different than putting a set of aftermarket headers, catted x pipe and catback on my past cars and I never had warranty issues. Time will tell I guess

The OP works at a Mitsu dealership doesnt he? Get the hook up with the guy's in service and mod it as you feel like it. As long as the service manager doesnt report the mods to Mitsu, they will honor the warranty.

so cal evos

In So cal, they don't mind at all (at some dealerships, HB MITSU + SOUTH COAST MITSU, SUP SAM SMASH) if you mod your car.

But push comes to shove,

If you come in with new springs or coilovers and you state that you have a problem with them, they will mind and probably wont help you at all.

i just installed a CB and sounds just like stock but a little deeper (from inside of the car)....technically no difference. wont pay 1k for a catback honestly...Outside of the car yes it sounds a little bit louder but not that much though. I don't regret the catback and plan on modding my EVO after warranty ends...the car is fun, enjoy it as it is...sometimes people focus on power without really know the capabilities of the stock car. if you want an evo for straight line then just dont spent that much money and try something else. The car is so so much fun the way it is. If you are scare and dont really know how the car works my suggestion is to not MOD it and maybe just a CB...
